THERMO-EST was created in February 1974. Its founder and president, Raymond NEITER, had noticed that this market was rapidly developing and that there was no FRENCH manufacturer. All the products to meet demands were imported. Set up at the heart of the Lorraine steel industry, the first company developments were made based on the very many needs expressed by users, norms and quality systems. Then, THERMO-EST developed its sales force using a network of technicians solidly trained in the company and professional know-how and all the other employees of the company. These new geographical installations brought the company into contact with new activity areas with new needs. Boosted by its experience acquired in all sectors of the industry and its mastery of assembly, calibration and logistics techniques, for many years THERMO-EST has been a recognised company in its market. Over the years, the company has diversified into new markets (aeronautics, nuclear, etc.) and new activities have been created (laboratory, conversion electronics, metrology and laser and electron cluster welding services). All these developments have contributed to the development of the company in the export field. Today, in 2008, these products manufactured on the Hauconcourt (57) or Brunoy (91) site are used all over the world: for use in the steel industry of course, and also for nuclear power stations or on planes.
The THERMO-EST group (France + branches) has a turnover of €20M and employs over 180 people.
